    About the role:

    The role of a Product Manager for Alternative Payment Methods (APM) is crucial in overseeing the deployment and ongoing support of various APM options that we offer to our clients. This position entails a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and our clients' specific payment needs, allowing for strategic identification and prioritization of key projects.

    Your duties will encompass working in tandem with teams across business development, marketing, sales, and engineering to seamlessly incorporate new APMs into our system. This includes the creation and dissemination of product documentation for both our internal stakeholders and for publication on our website, as well as the continuous refinement and enhancement of existing payment solutions.

    An essential part of your role involves conducting thorough market research, evaluating the performance of our APM offerings, and acquiring a deep understanding of the economic impact and profitability of each payment method. To excel in this role, you must possess a robust set of technical skills, an analytical mindset, and excellent communication abilities. Your proactive approach in the evolution of APMs should be data-driven, substantiating propositions with solid evidence and research to inform the decision-making process.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead a cross-functional team, set clear business goals and deliver according to expectations;
    • To be responsible for APMs lifecycle – from the discovery stage and onboarding to technical integration with APM providers and managing a strong long-term relationship. 
    • To be responsible for end-to-end payments experience, technical support for internal teams, and monitoring of any changes from payment methods side.
    • To communicate to teams and stakeholders your vision, roadmap and update them regularly on your progress.
    • To develop, optimize, and document business processes, support sales and marketing with materials before the launch of new products.
    • To highlight, report, and handle delivery risks and issues.
    • To be to date with the latest compliance updates and communicate this information internally and to merchants, if required.
    • To be data driven - ensure the team has goals and track relevant metrics, to make key decisions on your scope changing, discovering new directions and optimizations based on the data you obtain.

    Requirements

    • At least 3+ years of experience in product management in e-commerce within financial services.
    • Previous experience working with APMs in the EEA and globally.
    • Experience in a range of product delivery methodologies such as Agile or Kanban.
    • Experience in leading discovery and writing/maintaining business and functional product requirements.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure, drive multiple business initiatives and to lead and motivate your team.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – you’ll be collaborating with different teams, internally and externally.

    This role can be in one of our offices in Frankfurt, Limassol, Amsterdam, or London, it can also be remote anywhere in Europe.
