  • Working Student – Investor Relations & Fundraising (all genders)

Vireo is looking for a Working Student to join our Investor Relations and Fundraising work in Berlin.

You will work closely with our Head of Investor Relations and support the team across fundraising, LP research, investor communication and selected business development activities.

The role is designed for someone towards the end of their Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a Master’s who wants to learn how a venture capital fund works beyond the investment process. You will see how we prepare fundraising, work with existing and prospective LPs, communicate our work and build Vireo’s network across the European investment and EnergyTech ecosystem.

A large part of the job is research and preparation. We are looking for someone who is extremely precise, quick to understand new topics and comfortable working independently once the task is clear.

    What you will do

    Fundraising & LP Research

You will support our ongoing fundraising activities and help us research prospective investors, including family offices, institutional investors and corporates.

    This includes:

    • researching potential LPs, their investment activities, strategies and relevant contacts

    • preparing short investor profiles and meeting briefings

    • keeping our LP and fundraising research structured and current

    • supporting the preparation of investor meetings and follow-ups

    • researching specific investor segments, markets and networks when we want to understand them in more depth

We don’t expect you to arrive knowing the European LP landscape. You should want to learn it.

    Investor Relations

You will support the day-to-day work with our existing and prospective investors.

You will help prepare meetings and materials, maintain information in our CRM and make sure notes, next steps and relevant documents are properly recorded.

You will also support regular investor communication and help prepare presentations, updates and other materials for our LPs.

This part of the role requires attention to detail. We work with a large number of conversations and information at the same time, and we need someone who enjoys keeping that work organised.

    Communications & Positioning

Investor Relations at Vireo also involves communicating what we see in the market.

You will work with us on topics coming from our portfolio, the EnergyTech market and the wider VC ecosystem and help assess which of them are relevant for our investors and network.

Your work can include researching a topic, preparing a first draft, collecting data or portfolio examples, supporting an investor update, developing material for an event or helping prepare a media opportunity.

This is not a social media or marketing role. The communications work is closely connected to our fundraising, investor relations and business development activities.

    Business Development & Events

You will help us research people, organisations and events that are relevant to Vireo.

Before conferences and LP events, you might analyse attendee lists, research investors and prepare briefings for the team. Afterwards, you will help us structure the information and follow-ups coming out of those meetings.

There will also be opportunities to join selected events and get to know the VC, LP and EnergyTech ecosystem in person.

    AI & Research

AI should be a normal part of how you work.

We use it for research, preparation, analysis and recurring workflows. We are looking for someone who already uses these tools confidently and is interested in testing new ones.

You should also know when AI isn’t good enough. Investor names, fund information, numbers and meeting details need to be correct.

    Who we are looking for

You are currently studying business, economics, finance, management or a related subject. You are ideally towards the end of your Bachelor’s degree or already pursuing a Master’s.

You don’t need previous VC experience.

    You should:

    • work with a high degree of accuracy

    • be a strong and persistent researcher

    • be interested in Venture Capital, fundraising and the LP side of the industry

    • write clearly in English and ideally also in German

    • be able to turn research into concise, useful information

    • be comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, presentations and structured data

    • use AI tools confidently in your everyday work

    • be comfortable working on several tasks at the same time

    • take responsibility for the quality of your own work

    • be based in Berlin and able to work regularly with us in person

Experience in a startup, VC, finance, consulting, communications or another fast-moving environment is useful, but not required.

    What you will learn

The role gives you practical exposure to VC fundraising over a period of 6–12 months.

You will learn how LP research works, how fundraising pipelines are managed, how investor meetings are prepared and how a fund communicates with different types of investors.

You will also get to know the European VC and EnergyTech ecosystem and see how fundraising, investor relations, communications and business development interact in the day-to-day work of a venture fund.

You will work closely with our Head of Investor Relations and have regular interaction with other members of the Vireo team.

    Application

Please send us your CV. You don’t need to write a cover letter.

Instead, please answer these two questions briefly:

    1. Imagine you’re asked to identify 20 potential LPs that could be relevant for a European EnergyTech VC fund. How would you structure your research?

    2. Pick one recent development in EnergyTech or Venture Capital that you think Vireo should be part of the conversation around. Why – and with whom?
