    YOUR MISSION:

    We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing legal counsel and support to various departments within the Parloa organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance for SaaS businesses, preferably in the AI industry. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    • Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, with a particular focus on commercial law, including contract drafting and negotiation and guiding on GTM strategies from the commercial perspective. 
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to sales contracts, distribution agreements, marketing agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements, ensuring that contractual terms align with the company's objectives and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues and provide timely and practical recommendations to the Head of Legal and relevant stakeholders.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of guiding policies for commercial departments, working closely with sales enablement and recommend best practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Identify and assess legal risks associated with contracts and agreements. 
    • Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to resolve legal issues, address contractual disputes to the Head of Legal and mitigate risks. 
    • Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company's operations, and communicate potential legal implications to the Head of Legal.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as a legal subject matter expert, providing guidance and support. 

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • A law degree from a German university (for practicing law in Germany), or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution, is required.
    • Candidates who have completed a Master's degree in German law subsequent to obtaining a different initial degree will also be considered.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on commercial law. 
    • Strong understanding of contract law principles and experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including sales contracts, distribution agreements, and partner agreements.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice. 
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts related to commercial law to non-legal stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a particular focus on commercial transactions.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams on commercial matters.

    NICE TO HAVE:

    • Candidates with a strong grasp of artificial intelligence (AI) and its related legal landscape will be considered favorably as a plus.
    • Experience working in a legal department is preferred.
