Legal Counsel | Partner Markets

We are looking to hire a Legal Counsel to provide everyday legal support to markets that Bolt operates via franchise partners in all over the world (partner markets) with specific focus on the Middle East. The position is based in Tallinn, Estonia, or any place where Bolt has a physical office in the European Union or UK.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to deal with various topics such as rolling out of end-user facing terms and conditions, launching products and expanding globally, handling commercial contracts and corporate matters, addressing consumer protection, managing litigations, overseeing marketing and advertising, dealing with intellectual property and payment services.

You will use strong business acumen to assist with scalable product strategies while assessing and mitigating the legal and compliance risks of Bolt.

• Drafting and managing complex commercial contracts, incl. franchise agreements.
• Participating in potential acquisitions, incl. conducting LDD, drafting transactions documents, solving post-closing matters.
• Drafting and managing end user-facing terms of use, consumer disclosures, FAQs for products in the specific territories that you will oversee.
• Reviewing products, features, and initiatives to provide advice consistent with legal and regulatory obligations of Bolt.
• Coordinating day-to-day legal matters on partner markets and navigating franchise partners through the terms of cooperation.
• Coordinating advice with cross-functional stakeholders, including members of Tax, Privacy, Policy and Legal Team.

• Developing proactive product-oriented relationships with the above teams to stay ahead of the curve.
• Staying up to date with legislative developments, anticipating legal and commercial risks and advising and assisting the business to prepare for them
• Managing and coordinating litigations.
• Managing and coordinating external legal support.

• You have between 4 to 7 years of experience, preferably at a law firm or an international company. If you have worked at a tech-business this will be looked at favorably.
• Ideally, your work experience includes legal support for tech-enabled products and working cross border. Product counsel experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ideally, you have earlier experience with franchise agreements, joint ventures, commercial partnership or long term outsourcing agreements, and M&A transactions
• You are fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory).
• You are well at home with consumer protection and legal aspects of the gig-economy.
• You are excellent at legal drafting and you love people and project management.
