  • We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior IT Project Manager to support a large-scale digital transformation programme within Germany's public healthcare sector. The programme focuses on acute and emergency care digitalisation, including cross-sector care, telemedicine, emergency assessment (SmED), eAppointment services, and the integration of emergency control centres.

    Tasks

    • Lead multiple sub-projects in parallel within the acute and emergency care programme.
    • Build or adapt a stable, flexible and integrated IT service architecture that enables the changed business processes, with explicit service targets on cost and benefit, user acceptance, scalability, and compliance with information security and data protection requirements.
    • Run tender and procurement processes and manage external providers.
    • Maintain continuous alignment with business stakeholders, the programme management function, and external project partners.
    • Create the conditions for permanent operation and support of the IT services, including enabling internal IT staff and end users.

    Requirements

    • German at native or full professional level. All project work, stakeholder communication and the selection interview are conducted in German.
    • 5+ years of experience leading complex IT projects with high integration requirements, working across both business and IT stakeholders.
    • 2–5 years of experience within the German public healthcare sector (e.g. physicians' associations, emergency care, statutory health insurance, telematics, emergency dispatch or related organisations).
    • Able to be physically present in Munich one day per week, with travel costs covered at their own rate. In
    • practice this means a base in Bavaria or an adjacent region.
    • Work performed from within the European Union only. Delivery from a non-EU country is not permitted.
    • Available from 1 October 2026.
    • Able to provide a German certificate of conduct (Führungszeugnis) with no entries, dated within six weeks of contract signature.

    Start Date: 1 October 2026

    Contract: Initial 3-month contract with automatic extensions.

    Workplace: Hybrid

    Predominantly remote with 1 mandatory on-site day per week in Munich.

    Working Hours: Monday–Friday

    08:00–18:00

    Location: Munich, Germany

    Remote work permitted only from within the EU.
