    Location: Hamburg, Germany (with regular travel in Europe and to the US)  
    Reports to: Founders (Dr. Jury Schewel & Dr. Dimitry Schewel) 
    Compensation: Competitive salary + meaningful equity participation  


    About the Venture – ROB’E

    ROB’E is an early-stage MedTech venture developing an AI-powered robotic platform for echocardiography. The technology aims to transform cardiac imaging and enable more precise, image-guided structural heart interventions.

    The company was founded by Dr. Jury Schewel and Dr. Dimitry Schewel, both cardiologists and clinical leaders at Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg. ROB’E is part of the venture portfolio of NLC Health Ventures.

    The company has already achieved key milestones, including:

    • First-in-human use of its robotic TEE system
    • Strategic partnership with a leading imaging player
    • Strong clinical collaborations and scientific validation

    ROB’E is now entering a critical phase of product development, clinical validation, and fundraising.


    The Opportunity

    We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly driven leader to join ROB’E as Head of Product & Strategy. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take a breakthrough medical technology from early clinical proof-of-concept to a globally scalable company. You will work closely with the founders and take increasing responsibility for strategy, product development, fundraising, and business building.

    Your Role

    Drive Strategy & Company Building

    • Shape the overall company strategy, business model, and go-to-market approach
    • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analyses
    • Develop commercialization strategies for Europe and the US

    Lead Product Development

    • Translate clinical needs into clear product requirements
    • Drive development toward design freeze and product-market fit
    • Ensure execution against milestones, timelines, and budget

    Advance Clinical & Regulatory Pathways

    • Coordinate clinical validation and usability studies
    • Support regulatory strategy toward CE marking and FDA approval
    • Build and maintain relationships with clinical partners and KOLs

    Fundraising & Partnerships

    • Prepare investor materials and support fundraising processes
    • Engage with investors, strategic partners, and grant providers
    • Strengthen partnerships with industry leaders

    Build & Scale the Organization

    • Support hiring of key team members
    • Establish KPIs, processes, and reporting structures
    • Contribute to a high-performance, execution-driven culture

    Your Profile

    You combine strategic thinking with strong execution and are motivated to build a company.

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Is entrepreneurial, hands-on, and driven
    • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
    • Can bridge clinical, technical, and business domains
    • Communicates effectively with investors, clinicians, and engineers
    • Is passionate about improving patient care

    Preferred Background

    • 5–15+ years of experience in MedTech, HealthTech, or medical robotics
    • Experience in product development and commercialization
    • Familiarity with medical device development (Class I–III)
    • Exposure to clinical studies and regulatory processes (CE/FDA)
    • Experience with fundraising or investor interactions
    • Background in imaging, robotics, or cardiovascular care is a plus
    • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
