Revent is an early stage venture firm backing Europe's most talented founders building companies that truly matter. We focus on the founders who don't just want to build a unicorn but want to leave a legacy, to improve our collective future. As a firm, we work relentlessly hard to earn the right to partner with outlier individuals.
We've invested in companies such as Avelios Medical (Sequoia subsequently led their Series A), Tem Energy (Series B led by Lightspeed), and several yet unannounced rounds with Tier 1 funds, and are currently deploying a fresh €111M fund. With this new fund, we will invest in 38 ultra early stage companies all pushing the boundaries in AI and frontier tech to build a better collective future for all of us.
Tasks
We're hiring a Team & Operations Associate to join us full time in Berlin. This person will be the operational backbone of our most important asset - the Team. Your job is making sure everything runs smoothly regarding any kind of operations for example, events, team offsites, office logistics, and anything else that comes up where you can add value to the experience of the key stakeholders.
Revent is a small team by design, which means every role carries real WEIGHT. You won't be a passive administrator. You'll be the person who keeps us running beautifully, supports the team with hands-on administrative tasks, and constantly looks for ways to make things better. You'll have genuine ownership over how the team, office and events feel, function, and are run.
Your scope is broad, and in a given week you might:
- Keep the team organised and moving fast. Manage calendars, book travel, coordinate meetings and appointments, and handle communications so nothing slips through the cracks.
- Handle preparatory accounting and expense management. Work closely with our finance setup to collect and organise invoices, receipts, and expense documentation. Prepare payment runs, ensure vendor and team expenses are recorded accurately, and keep everything tidy across our tools. You'll be the person who makes sure nothing gets lost between receipt and reconciliation.
- Manage tools, subscriptions, and contracts. Own our software subscriptions and service agreements. Track renewals, evaluate new tools, negotiate pricing where relevant, and manage user access across the team.
- Own the office experience. Be the go to person for everything office related. Manage meeting rooms, handle mail and deliveries, keep the space tidy, stocked, and inviting. Coordinate with vendors, building management, and service providers. Take pride in creating an environment where the team and our visitors feel at home.
- Plan and execute events and offsites. From lunches, dinners and founder summits, to strategy offsites and gatherings with founders or LPs, we do a lot: You will be working closely with our head of community on sourcing venues and vendors, managing invitations and event communications, coordinating travel and on the ground logistics, tracking budgets and attendee details, and handling post event follow up. You'll make sure every detail is taken care of and that each event reflects the quality Revent stands for.
- Spot problems and fix them before anyone else notices. The best Team & Operations Associate doesn't wait for things to break. You'll proactively identify improvements across our internal processes, infrastructure, and daily operations, and make them happen.
Our team is small and we work closely together. You'll have exposure to all parts of the firm and a real say in how we build our culture and operations.
Requirements
We don't require a specific degree. What matters is YOUR MINDSET and how you work. A few years of experience in an operations focussed position in a fast paced environment will help you thrive. Experience in startups, investment firms, or professional services is a plus, but not a must. We are really looking for someone with an exceptional high standard of excellent execution and creating amazing experiences for high-end stakeholders like founders and investors.
Beyond that, we're looking for someone who brings:
- A bias for action. You don't wait for instructions. You anticipate needs, create structure where it's missing, and take ownership. You enjoy making things happen and seeing a well run operation.
- Reliability and organisational excellence. You're known for keeping multiple tasks, timelines, and systems running smoothly. People count on you, and you deliver.
- Warmth and discretion. You're professional and approachable. You handle sensitive information with absolute care. In a role this connected across the firm, trust is everything.
- Resourcefulness. You don't get stuck. When something is unclear or broken, you figure it out. You're quick on your feet and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Attention to detail. You care about accuracy, whether it's an expense report, a travel booking, or the way the office looks when a founder walks in. You double check your work and take pride in getting it right.
- Tech savviness. You're comfortable with modern tools and embrace AI in your day to day tasks. We want someone who thinks about how technology can make processes better, not just someone who follows existing ones.
- A passion to create a better world. Revent invests in companies that can become massive by virtue of solving real problems for humanity. We're a mission driven team and only want to work with people who share our commitment to building something meaningful, not just keeping the wheels turning.
