Custom Surgical builds hardware and software that changes how ophthalmic surgeons document, teach, and perform. Our MicroREC ecosystem, used by surgeons in 80+ countries, turns surgical microscopes into professional imaging and recording stations. MicroREC 3D, our latest system, delivers stereoscopic 3D visualization for cataract, vitreoretinal, and corneal surgery.
We're a small, ambitious team operating at the intersection of medtech and software. Everyone here owns real outcomes and builds things that end up in operating rooms around the world.
Tasks
We're looking for a Marketing Analyst to take ownership of the campaigns, content, and operational workflows that drive Custom Surgical's visibility and pipeline. You'll sit above our junior Marketing Analyst and work directly with the Head of Growth to execute the marketing plan across digital, events, and content channels.
This is a hands-on execution role with real ownership. You won't just support, you'll plan, build, run, and improve. One week you're optimizing a Google Ads campaign for a new MicroREC bundle launch, the next you're coordinating event logistics for ESCRS or DOC, the next you're briefing a content piece for a surgical audience. If you like owning the full marketing stack and seeing your work translate into leads and revenue, this role is for you.
What you'll own
Campaigns & Paid Media
- Plan and execute digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn — targeting surgeons, residents, and clinical decision-makers
- Monitor performance, run A/B tests, and optimize toward pipeline metrics (leads, MQLs, cost per acquisition)
- Build and manage segmented email campaigns and automated nurture flows in HubSpot
Content & SEO
- Execute the content calendar: blog posts, case studies, surgical video captions, surgeon testimonials, and product-focused landing pages
- Own on-page SEO and contribute to keyword strategy and technical health improvements
- Brief and review content produced by Kevin or external collaborators, ensuring quality and brand consistency
Events & Conference Support
- Coordinate marketing logistics for international ophthalmology congresses (ESCRS, DOC, SICSSO, AAO, and others): materials, shipping, booth collateral, lead capture setup
- Support on-site execution at key events when needed
- Manage post-event follow-up workflows in HubSpot
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report weekly and monthly performance across channels: traffic, leads, conversion rates, campaign ROI
- Maintain dashboards and flag issues or opportunities to the Head of Growth
- Contribute to sales and marketing alignment by keeping HubSpot pipeline data clean and actionable
Team Coordination
- Manage day-to-day tasks with Kevin, briefing projects clearly and reviewing outputs
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to align messaging and support commercial priorities
- Work cross-functionally with Product to translate technical features into marketing-ready content
Requirements
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in a marketing role, ideally in B2B, medtech, healthtech, or a technical product company
- Hands-on experience running paid campaigns (Google Ads required; Meta and/or LinkedIn a plus)
- Proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform
- English C1 - other languages is a plus.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing quality
- Based in Munich
Preferred
- Experience marketing to healthcare professionals or in a regulated industry
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar)
- Background in event coordination or congress marketing
Benefits
- Real ownership from day one: You run campaigns and projects, not just support them
- A lean, international team where your work is visible and your impact is measurable
- Direct exposure to the medtech world: clinical content, surgical audiences, global congresses
- Flexible working arrangements + home office when needed
- Wellpass or Deutschlandticket
- No unnecessary bureaucracy — high autonomy, fast decisions, direct feedback
We expect protagonists: people who spot a problem and fix it without waiting to be told. We give and receive direct feedback often. We're a young, international team that moves fast and takes ownership seriously. If that's the environment where you do your best work, we'd like to talk.
