    At zooplus, we’re looking for a commercially driven leader to take ownership of key categories in DACH, our biggest and most strategic market.

    This is more than a traditional category management role. You’ll operate like a General Manager for your categories: owning strategy, growth, pricing, onsite performance, and team leadership end-to-end.

    Working closely with Marketing, CRM, Vendor Management, and Own Brand teams, you’ll turn customer and market insights into measurable commercial impact.

    What you’ll own

    • Define and execute the commercial strategy for your categories across DACH
    • Drive topline growth, profitability, and KPI performance across category and product level
    • Lead pricing, promotions, and campaign planning to maximise commercial impact
    • Own onsite merchandising and customer journey optimisation to improve conversion and growth
    • Grow Own Brand performance through acquisition, migration, and retention initiatives
    • Use data and customer insights to identify opportunities and optimise performance continuously
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 4 people
    • Influence a wider cross-functional squad to deliver measurable business outcomes

    Qualifications

    What we’re looking for

    • Experience in retail, FMCG, or e-commerce, with strong category ownership
    • Proven ability to lead a team while driving commercial performance
    • Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on, analytical mindset
    • Confidence working cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders
    • Good understanding of how pricing, marketing, vendor management, and operations connect
    • Strong understanding of DACH customer behaviour and market dynamics
    • German language skills (minimum B1) and strong English
    • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on impact
