Jobs in Germany
Most code doesn't matter.
This does.
We are building software that helps humanity conquer death. Cancer therapeutics take 12 years and $800 million to reach a patient. We are cutting that down to 5. Every line of code shipped here is time bought for someone who is running out of it.
We are looking for one person. Junior. The most ambitious of our generation.
You will write code next to some of the best people working on one of the hardest problems on earth. You will not be parked on a side project. You will be in the room.
The bar for Interns:
High agency. You see a problem, try to understand it, ask good questions, and help fix it instead of waiting for someone else to tell you what to do.
High integrity. You care about the work: you read before you change, test before you ship, say when you do not know, own your mistakes, and leave things better than you found them. You do not need to know everything as a junior engineer, but you do need to care.
Stack: TypeScript. React. Next.js. PostgreSQL. We use Claude aggressively. You will too.
But hear this clearly. AI writes code. Humans write great code. We hire humans to write great code, not to ship whatever the model spat out.
If you copy-paste Claude's output without reading it, without questioning it, without making it better, you will not last here. Mediocre engineers use AI to skip thinking. Great engineers use AI to think faster. We hire the second kind.
Who you are:
Life is work. Work is life. You don't separate the two because you don't want to. You're already coding nights and weekends. Not because anyone is making you. Because you can't not.
You're life-maxing. Code. Lift. Sleep. Meal prep. Books. Music that hits. You optimize the inputs because you take the outputs seriously.
You're hungry the way an athlete is hungry. You want to become great as if your life depends on it. You read the docs. You ship the PR. You read more docs. You ship a better PR. You don't perform learning, you do it.
You're an individualist. You do this for yourself. Which is precisely why you do it well for everyone. You don't need a team huddle to be motivated. You need a problem and a keyboard.
You're fun to work with. You have taste. You have opinions. You can take a punch and throw one back. You don't take yourself too seriously, but you take the work very seriously.
