Join our portfolio company: A German dual-use technology company that develops unmanned ground vehicles to spearhead automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.

In this role, you’ll:

• Design, develop, and maintain software for robotic systems; including simulation, control algorithms, perception, planning, and user interfaces
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics solutions into existing systems and workflows
• Perform thorough testing and validation of software solutions to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for robotics systems, including on-site and remote assistance when necessary
• Document software designs, development processes, and system configurations for internal and external stakeholders
• Select and integrate sensors for the solution of real and complex problems of the defense industry

Your Profile

• Proven experience in software development for robotics or automation systems
• Proficiency in C++, and ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration
• Knowledge of electronics, sensor selection and HW/SW integration
• Strong understanding of communication protocols and hardware interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, USB) and communication protocols
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills in English

Please note that we are looking for support in the Munichoffice of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
