Junior Finance Manager (m/f/d)

About the Job

We are looking for a motivated Finance Manager to join our portfolio company's finance team and develop its strategies.

In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on shaping and influencing the Finance team, with a wide-range of important responsibilities and by working directly with the C level.

Join our portfolio company: A German EdTech company focused on enabling students to access a wide range of digital learning materials and communicate via its platform. The fast-growing startup is active in several European countries, serving millions of students.

In this role, you’ll:

• Oversee all financial operations, including but not limited to managing invoices, payments, B2B account receivables, year-end reporting, audits, and beyond
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all finance-related queries within our portfolio company
• Act as the key liaison for external stakeholders such as banks, accountants, tax consultants, and auditors
• Revise and enhance our portfolio company's Financial Model, alongside maintaining cash and cost reporting
• Execute comprehensive cash management strategies and ensure timely invoice payments
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and uphold impeccable standards in all aspects of your role

Your Profile

• Academic Background in Finance, Controlling, Business Development, or related fields
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Finance, whether in a similar role or within an audit/accounting firm
• Possess foundational knowledge of accounting and controlling, complemented by Excel and G-sheets proficiency
• Exhibit robust analytical skills and a passion for optimizing processes
• Embrace an independent, structured, and precise approach to work
• Fluent in both English and German languages for effective business communication

Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
