Linux System Engineer

Tasks

Installation and Monitoring of the Linux/Unix system software infrastructure.
Managing user accounts and access management systems.
Being responsible for backup and recovery policies including security policies, such as patches and upgrades when necessary for vulnerabilities.
Maintaining complex environments and keeping track of office space utilization tactics
Ensuring the operations team complies with IT governance policies and procedures, EU GDPR and ITIL

Requirements

5 years plus of experience in a similar role, as system administrator or Linux engineer
Experience with UNIX and LINUX operating systems, file systems (LVM & VXVM)
Experience with IT infrastructure, automation tools, server virtualization
Ideally experience with RedHat/CentOS Linux, AIX, Solaris, VMWare, and X86 hardware
Veritas Cluster configuration, disaster recovery, and load balancer concepts is a plus
Fluent English and one other European language
EU passport or a Blue Card in Germany
