    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    ONE seeks a Global Health enthusiast to support ONE's advocacy in Berlin, Germany, and to support the coordination of the Global Health Champions Network. This position requires the ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, compelling advocacy communication as well as strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of relevant political processes in Germany, preferably gained through previous work experience, and demonstrated experience in project and event management.

     

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

    • Support the design and implementation of ONE's Global Health advocacy strategy to secure public funding for global health programs.
    • Prepare and distribute advocacy materials such as letters, content for ONE's website, talking points, and briefing materials in German.
    • Organize events, trips and training, by helping prepare training/briefing materials and providing logistical support.
    • Provide coordination and project support for the Global Health Champions Network and streamline communication internally and with external stakeholders.
    • Contribute to OKR tracking and reportings for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

     

    WHAT YOU BRING TO ONE

    • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree preferred in political science, global health, international development, economics or another related field
    • 4 years' (with Bachelor's) and 2 years (Master's Degree) relevant professional experience, e.g. in the field of advocacy, stakeholder communication and project management related to international development or global health.
    • Ability to synthetize complex documents and issues and write in clear, succinct language in both German and English
    • Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities under tight deadlines while performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Experience in stakeholder communication
    • Demonstrable interest in the causes ONE supports
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite. Ability to use data management software (ex. Excel) a strong asset
    • Authorization to work in Germany is required

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Fluency in English and German required. 

     

    TRAVEL: 

    Occasional domestic travel (5-10%) may be required. Additional international and/or domestic travel opportunities may occur.  

     

    COMPENSATION:

    34,000EUR-40,000EUR

    This salary range is based on compensation survey data for similar organizations and is used to set pay internally at ONE. Where a new hire's salary falls within this range is based on a variety of factors, including the budget available for this position.
