Your Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (d/m/w) who will lead a team of software engineers building our next-generation digital platform for our clients. Together with designers, product managers, and your team, you will plan, implement, test, and ship new initiatives to take our client-facing products to the next level. You are a hands-on leader who is willing to dedicate time to both development and people management.
You will steer the technical implementation of your team’s roadmap, ensure code and product quality standards are met, and foster an environment of learning and mentoring. Your day-to-day tasks involve unblocking your team, providing technical direction, coordinating initiatives, and actively contributing to the codebase and implementation. You support the engineers on your team in growing their skill sets and guide them in their personal development.
What exactly will you do?
- Own your team’s domain from a technical perspective and steer the implementation of new features.
- Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and system design, and continuously improve the system architecture.
- Actively participate in the development of your team’s roadmap by implementing new features, performing code reviews, and participating in the full software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide your team members to help them grow in their personal development; help them plan their careers and define actions to achieve their goals.
- Give regular and constructive feedback, and don’t shy away from being honest when necessary.
What you bring
- Over 5 years of professional experience in software development of web or mobile applications in a full-stack environment, with a strong foundation in clean code principles.
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js or related technologies; comfortable working with backend frameworks like Hono and frontend frameworks like React / React Native, as well as databases like PostgreSQL or Redis.
- You have managed individual engineers or teams in previous roles and have a proven track record as a mentor and guide.
- You exhibit a proactive and innovative mindset, take ownership of your projects, and are committed to maintaining a high quality bar.
- You are an empathetic leader who wants their team members to shine. Don't meet all the requirements? Apply to us anyway! We look forward to receiving your application!
