This role sits at the intersection of geospatial innovation and public sector transformation, where advanced Earth observation data is used to support critical government decisions across Europe. You will be responsible for building strategic relationships with civil government institutions and driving the adoption of cutting-edge satellite and data-driven solutions. Operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, you will manage long and highly structured sales cycles that include public tenders, framework agreements, and policy-driven procurement processes. The role requires a strong blend of commercial expertise, curiosity, and the ability to translate technical capabilities into meaningful public value. You will collaborate closely with internal experts across engineering, legal, finance, and solutions teams to deliver impactful proposals. This is a highly strategic position with significant visibility, where your work directly contributes to how governments understand and respond to environmental, societal, and operational challenges.
Accountabilities: - Own and grow a portfolio of civil government and public sector accounts across Northern Europe and EU institutions, driving revenue and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to negotiation and contract closure, including complex public tenders and framework agreements.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with ministries, agencies, and institutional stakeholders across multiple countries.
- Develop account strategies aligned with policy objectives, regulatory frameworks, and public procurement cycles.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Solutions Engineering, Legal, Finance, Product, and Customer Success to deliver high-quality, compliant proposals.
- Navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments and ensure consistent engagement throughout long sales cycles.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and account planning within CRM systems.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and governmental forums across Europe.
- Collaborate with partners and system integrators to support large-scale public sector initiatives when required.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in B2G, public sector, or government-focused sales roles.
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value, multi-year enterprise or public sector deals.
- Strong understanding of public procurement processes, including tenders, framework agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience selling technology, SaaS, data, geospatial, or Earth observation solutions is highly desirable.
- Ability to engage and influence senior government stakeholders and decision-makers with confidence.
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly in contract structuring and pricing discussions.
- Excellent ability to manage long and complex sales cycles while maintaining momentum and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with curiosity to understand policy and operational challenges.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams.
- Professional proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
