The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer that will take an active role in shaping our QA strategy and payment processes. You will also be responsible for the improvement of delivered features to production, reducing the number of user complaints and ensuring that the product delivered has top-notch quality. One of the main goals of the team is preventing bugs that have the potential to impact the production environment and affect sales / crucial functionality times.
What you will do:
Improvement of delivered features to production, reducing the number of user complaints and ensuring that the product delivered has top-notch quality
Development of an automated test framework from scratch
Integration tests, end-to-end tests, functional tests, regression tests
Preventing bugs that have the potential to impact the production environment, affect sales and crucial functionality
Microservices and API use cases (Postman, SOAP, REST)
Creation of test case scenarios for manual and automated tests
Development and execution of manual test case scenarios
Independent investigation and proposal of new methods for improving quality assurance processes
Reporting and documentation of all discovered errors/bugs
Close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver tasks on time and to the expected quality.

We are aiming to hire a professional based in Germany or Europe. We are a remote-first company with colleagues based around the Globe.
Who you are:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, including developing automated test scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Ruby.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools (experience with JEST is a plus).
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, QA methodologies, testing processes, and test design principles.
Experience designing test strategies and test plans across multiple teams or products, with the ability to establish scalable QA processes.
Proven experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Strong experience testing APIs and integrations using tools such as Postman, REST APIs, SOAP, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience testing functional, integration, and end-to-end scenarios across web applications. Experience with mobile testing (e.g. Appium) is a plus.
Understanding of data representation technologies such as JSON and XML.
Good knowledge of test design and testing theory.
Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and confidence in validating data at the database level.
Ability to analyse application logs and service metrics and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems.
Experience with Payment Service Provider (PSP) integrations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is an advantage.
Experience working in Agile environments and with tools such as Jira.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams and stakeholders while managing priorities independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
