About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and resilient data pipelines that support real-time and batch data processing. Your expertise in Apache Flink, Kafka, Airflow and data engineering architectural pattern will be the key in supporting various data initiatives across the organization.

Design and implement scalable and reliable real-time data processing platforms using Flink, Kafka, Redis and anything else your expertise can shine on
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and data producers to understand data needs and translate your expertise to deliverables
Actively contribute to the team's knowledge sharing, participate in tech talks and drive architectural decisions in context where you are the SME
Ensure that the data we produce is reliable, trustable and timely delivered via monitoring, high availability and performance optimizations
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in streaming technologies and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve our data infrastructure

Who we are looking for:

You have deep experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on streaming data processing
You have a strong focus on data architectural patterns, performance and cost optimizations
You have a pragmatic and product oriented mindset, you know when to balance delivery and quality
Proficiency in Apache Flink, Kafka, Snowflake and Airflow. A big plus one or more of the following: Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, DBT
You were able to gain experience with developing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines
Strong programming skills in Java, a big plus would be Python
You are a great communicator and gained some tutoring skills
