As a DevOps Engineer, you will optimize and automate the infrastructure and operations of our IoT solutions. Collaborating with our IoT Solutions Architect and web backend developers, you will ensure our services are efficient, reliable, and proactive. Your role includes developing new solutions and enhancing existing IoT cloud backend operations, with a strong focus on operational excellence.

Tasks

Cross-System Monitoring: Establish and maintain a comprehensive monitoring system for IoT devices and the cloud platform to enable real-time monitoring and alerts.
Automations: Implement and manage automations to increase the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure.
Bug Fixes and Updates: Proactively identify and fix bugs and provide regular updates and version management of systems.
Customer Integration: Assist with the integration of new customers into our platform to ensure a seamless and efficient user experience.
New Developments: Contribute to the development of new features and solutions in collaboration with other teams (IoT, Webstack).
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a liaison between IoT devices, cloud, and webstack to promote a harmonized and efficient development and operations environment.

Requirements

Containerization and Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Docker and Container Management Services like Kubernetes / AWS ECS.
Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Cloud Platforms: Good knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools and technologies, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Nagios, or Datadog.
CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).
Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection.
Networking: Understanding of network configuration, management, and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
Project Management: Strong skills to oversee IoT solution implementations and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent German and/or English skills to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders, including non-technical clients.
