Mobile Acquisition Lead

We're poised for significant mobile acquisition growth in Europe, spearheading a social-first, content-led strategy to generate substantial demand for our non-card reader products. This is a high-impact opportunity: a Mobile First proposition & approach is estimated to unlock over €50 million in annualized net revenue, making this a critical priority. As our Mobile Acquisition Lead, you will be central to driving this expansion and ensuring its outstanding success. You'll contribute significantly to SumUp's overarching European mobile growth strategy by providing data-driven insights and exploring innovative, out-of-the-box advertising concepts.
What you'll do
- Own the Mobile Acquisition Channel (Europe): Define and execute the end-to-end strategy, build best-in-class tooling and operating models, and drive ambitious growth targets for the mobile acquisition channel.
- Drive Commercial Performance: Take full ownership of commercial performance, balancing ambitious scale with stringent Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) payback requirements.
- Optimise Operating Model: Strategically manage and refine our operating model, encompassing agencies, creative platforms, and in-house resources, to achieve optimal commercial performance, capability building, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead Campaign Planning & Execution: Define comprehensive campaign plans and spearhead creative ideation, production, and rigorous A/B testing in collaboration with relevant supporting teams and agencies.
- Ensure Robust Tracking & Reporting: Partner with MarTech, Online Marketing, Website, Data Analytics, and Finance teams to establish and maintain accurate tracking and comprehensive performance/financial reporting.
- Inform Strategic Decisions: Perform in-depth qualitative and quantitative campaign analyses to provide actionable insights for commercial decision-making and proactively share growth opportunities with key stakeholders.
- Lead & Empower: Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and driving excellence.
You'll be great for this position if
- You have 5+ years of proven Mobile Marketing experience, with a strong grasp of the latest best practices, including Mobile Measurement Platforms (MMPs), attribution models, and campaign management.
- You have demonstrable success in driving paid social strategies through a scaled content factory approach – from production and analysis to rapid iteration.
- You have a strong understanding of App Store algorithms and App Store Optimization (ASO), coupled with proven expertise across Meta, Google, and TikTok advertising platforms.
- You have strong working knowledge of analytics tools such as Appsflyer, Google Analytics, and Tableau, with a proven ability to analyze data from multiple sources to drive actionable insights.
- You have a proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for operational excellence and a strong can-do attitude.
- You have proven ability to manage marketing projects end-to-end, including business case development and successful implementation.
