Tasks

As our first dedicated Engineering Leader, you will own the end‑to‑end technology function—from architecture and technical roadmap to delivery, reliability, and security. You’ll take the product from 0→1 (MVP) to 1→n (scale), set the engineering bar, and be a critical partner on product strategy and iteration.

What you’ll do

Translate product vision into a technical roadmap with clear milestones, resourcing, and KPIs.
Design the initial architecture & data model, choose the stack, and set SLAs/SLOs for availability, performance, and cost.
Ship hands-on: write code, review PRs, establish our SDLC, CI/CD, IaC, and observability/alerting from day one.
Own reliability & security: implement best practices for privacy, compliance, and risk management (e.g., GDPR, KYC/AML—fintech experience a plus).
Enable fast experimentation by instrumenting analytics, event pipelines, and A/B testing infrastructure.
Build and lead a lean, high-performing engineering team (hiring, coaching, and setting the culture).
Collaborate tightly with Product, Design, and Growth to turn insights into product improvements and scalable systems.
Manage technical debt deliberately—balancing speed today with long-term maintainability.

Requirements

You’ve previously built and scaled a product/platform end‑to‑end as a founding engineer or early engineering leader.
Deep, hands-on expertise across backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and CI/CD tooling.
Strong systems design & architectural judgment for reliable, secure, and maintainable systems (not necessarily high‑traffic).
Analytical rigor and fluency with product/engineering metrics, experimentation frameworks, and observability/instrumentation.
A product mindset and founder-like ownership—comfortable with ambiguity and biased toward action.
(Nice to have) Experience in fintech or other regulated environments (security, compliance, payments, KYC/AML).
