Role
As an Event Marketing Manager, you deliver pipeline outcomes by running the execution engine behind our field marketing program. You take ownership from brief to wrap up across trade fairs, executive roundtables, customer workshops, webinars, and invite-only dinners. You ensure every event has a clear objective, a well-run attendee journey, and measurable impact.
This role is built for progression. As you master execution, you take on bigger ownership in the field marketing motion, including event portfolio planning, ABM plays, messaging, and program design. Over time, you can grow into a full Field Marketing scope.
Your Mission
- Own end-to-end event execution, including project plans, timelines, budgets and forecasts, vendor sourcing and negotiation, logistics, on-site leadership, and post-event wrap-up.
- Apply event-as-a-product discipline with a clear objective, ICP, and audience definition, experience design, communications plan, and measurable outcome for every event.
- Partner with Account Executives, SDRs, and the Value Realization team to align on account priorities, meeting targets, lead capture, and follow-up SLAs.
- Build the operational backbone using playbooks, checklists, run-of-show templates, and a repeatable process that scales across multiple events in parallel.
- Coordinate promotion and the attendee journey with Content, Brand, and Digital, covering invites, landing pages, email sequences, reminders, and day-of communications.
- Run measurement and reporting through campaign setup in CRM and marketing automation, pipeline influence tracking, post-mortems, and recommendations to improve ROI.
- Manage assets and merchandise, including booth inventory, shipping, signage, swag, and partner collateral.
What success looks like in the first 6 to 12 months
- Events ship on time, on budget, and with a consistently premium experience aligned to the SPREAD brand.
- Clear visibility into performance across attendance, meetings set, influenced pipeline, and qualitative account impact.
- A reliable operating system where stakeholders know the process and execution does not depend on heroics.
Your Experience
- 3+ years in B2B event management or field marketing with heavy event ownership, ideally in SaaS, industrial tech, or other complex B2B environments.
- Proven ownership of full event cycles across formats, including trade fairs plus smaller executive formats.
- Strong project management. You structure work, manage dependencies, and stay calm when things change.
- Commercial mindset with budget ownership, vendor negotiation, and comfort making trade-offs.
- Pipeline thinking. You partner with Sales and set up lead capture and follow-up workflows.
- Tooling confidence with spreadsheets, event platforms, and CRM or marketing automation such as HubSpot or Salesforce. Bonus points for Figma.
- Fluent English plus at least B2 German. Berlin-based, happy to be hands-on on-site.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing to manufacturing, automotive, machinery, or defense audiences, or other engineering-heavy buyers.
- Sharp eye for design and brand consistency in physical spaces such as booths, signage, and decks.
- Comfort hosting executives, moderating, managing run-of-show, handling speakers, and managing stakeholders.
- Light copywriting skills. You do not need to be a brand writer, but you can craft clear, conversion-focused invites.
