    • YOUR MISSION

    As an Engineering Manager (f/m/d)* at Parloa, you will lead a team of software engineers and be responsible for the software development and delivery. You collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (e.g. Product, Design, QA) to deliver and innovate on our product that customers use to curate company knowledge. You love learning.     IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    • Own the software delivery speed, quality and operational reliability of your area
    • Manage a team, provide guidance and mentorship, participate in hiring and conduct performance reviews
    • Work closely with Product, QA and DevOps to prioritize and deliver effectively
    • Set goals, communicate the vision and enable the team to plan work

     

    Our Tech stack: Python, FastAPI, Kafka, Vector Search, React/Redux, TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, Jest, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, Azure, Cypress

     

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • 2+ years of experience in leading and managing a team
    • 5+ years of experience in software engineering; solid experience in design and maintenance of microservice architectures
    • Understanding of observability and data-driven thinking
    • Proficiency in backend engineering with Typescript and Node.js or Python and passion for writing clean and modular code
    • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes
    • Experience with event-driven architectures
    • Interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively, share knowledge and enable others
    • Experience in delivering SaaS solutions

     

    NICE TO HAVE:

    • Experience with building search solutions, especially using vector similarity search
