  • About Nucs AI

Nucs AI is revolutionizing prostate cancer care through cutting-edge AI and medical imaging technology. Founded in 2024 by a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, AI researchers, and healthcare innovators, we're tackling one of medicine's most pressing challenges: the growing demand for accurate, timely cancer diagnostics in the face of rising scan volumes and limited radiologist capacity.

Our mission is to enhance diagnostic precision and expand access to expert-level prostate cancer screening, ultimately improving patient outcomes worldwide.

    The Opportunity

Join our engineering team as a Full Stack Engineer and help build the next generation of medical imaging platforms. You'll work at the intersection of healthcare and technology, developing secure, scalable systems that directly impact patient care and clinical workflows.

Working with advanced graphics technologies like WebGL and WebGPU, you'll create high-performance medical imaging applications that help radiologists visualize complex 3D datasets, analyze scans with precision, and make critical diagnostic decisions efficiently.

    What You'll Build

    • Modern React frontends with advanced 3D visualization capabilities using WebGL/WebGPU

    • High-performance medical imaging interfaces that handle large DICOM datasets smoothly

    • Robust FastAPI backends that process and serve medical imaging data at scale

    • Scalable data architectures using SQL databases with smart indexing and caching strategies

    • Seamless integrations between internal services and external healthcare systems

    • Production-ready deployments with Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, and comprehensive CI/CD pipelines

    • Monitoring and logging systems that ensure reliability in clinical environments

    What You Bring

    • 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with shipped products that real users depend on

    • Strong frontend skills in TypeScript and React, with experience in graphics programming or 3D visualization preferred

    • Backend expertise in Python with Flask or FastAPI for building reliable APIs and services

    • Database proficiency in SQL and relational data modeling for handling complex medical data

    • DevOps experience with containerization, CI/CD, and Google Cloud Platform

    • Clear communication skills and a pragmatic approach to solving complex technical problems

    Bonus Points

    • Experience with WebGL, WebGPU, or other graphics programming technologies

    • Familiarity with medical imaging frameworks (Cornerstone3D, VTK.js, or similar)

    • Experience in healthcare/medical software development

    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO 13485)

    • Background in event-driven architecture and messaging systems

    • Experience integrating ML/analytics into production workflows

    • Strong security mindset with experience in threat modeling and compliance

    Why This Role Matters

Your work will directly contribute to advancing cancer care technology. Every system you build, every optimization you make, and every integration you design helps medical professionals provide better care to patients facing one of life's most challenging diagnoses.

    Interview Process
