    Role and Responsibilities:

    As Team Leader Incoming Inspection, you will work hands-on in our Lilium eAircraft Production Organisation in close relation with our Supply Chain and Logistic teams to secure on Quality deliverables received from our suppliers. Reporting to the Head of Quality Operations, you will be responsible to lead the incoming Inspection team, manage, coordinate, and deliver daily inspection needs in accordance with industry standards and our Production Management System for staying compliant with applicable EASA/FAA regulations.

     

    Your Day to Day:

    • People and operational leadership of the Incoming Inspection team with up to 10 team members to ensure allocation of the resources in a time and cost-efficient way while obtaining Lilium's and aviation quality standards.
    • Managing the day-to-day business in close relation and coordination with your peers ( Logistic / Supply Chain / Production Shop-Floor) to support the business demand and build priorities.
    • Drive a solution-oriented collaboration with associated production and engineering departments
    • Surveillance of your teams activities to investigate on opportunities for continues improvement and effective use of KPI's to foster the value chain and eradication of non-value adding tasks.
    • Develop, establish and continuously improve the warehouse incoming inspection strategy and planning
    • Support Supply Chain Quality on Incoming Inspection Plan (IIP) definition, needs and continuously feedback for efficiency of the IIP
    • Managing and follow up of non-conform items, as well FAI / LAI demands
    • Develop and establish standards for test methods and procedures within your scope of work
    • Become an expert user and act as key focal point in your domain on applicable IT systems like ERP
    • Actively mentor, train, and empower your team members to enable a high performance culture
    • Train and support your team and stakeholders on aviation mindset, behavior, and just culture
    • Maintain applicable occupational Safety measures and contribute to our Safety Management System

     

    Preferred Skills:

    • Technical education or university degree in engineering, preferable linked to aviation
    • minimum 5 years of Leadership experience in leading teams in a technical aviation environment.
    • minimum 5 years of experience in managing Incoming Inspection in an EASA Part 21 / 145 or similar FAA environment.
    • Technical experience on metallic structure, composite, mechanical, electrical as well as avionics
    • Capability and knowledge to read and translate Design Data Key Characteristics into physical inspections
    • Knowledge of and certain experience with EASA Aviation Regulations applicable to a Production Organisation
    • IT User Experience and knowledge with ERP Systems, Microsoft Office, and HR applications
    • Background on managing Non-Conform Items via Non Conformity Reports and Concession are essential
    • Proactive, good communicator and able to gain credibility across all levels of the organisation.
    • Strong motivation to help build and shape your organisation, structures, and processes.
    • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German would be beneficial.
