We are a lean, minimalistic, fun team of developers who value good communication, responsibility, learning, pragmatism, teamwork, and developer happiness. We're not big fans of ceremony, meetings, bureaucracy and buzzwords. We respect each other's opinions regardless of skill level. Everybody brings something to the table and we all learn from each other. Disagreements are not uncommon, but whether it's nitpicks or full-blown philosophical debates, we always talk it out. Our workload is prioritized and managed very carefully so developers can focus. Tests are a high priority. Fixing bugs doesn't stop at patching. We take ownership of our code and investigate why our tests didn't pick it up. Everyone is expected to take charge of their projects, tying up loose ends and not letting issues go stagnant. We strive for a fun workplace. When work stops being fun, we encourage people to speak up early and often so we can try to find a solution.
- Independent takeover of various ruby on rails projects
- Development of web applications that are oriented towards Lanes&Planes customer requirements
- Programming and testing of new and existing Ruby on Rails applications
- Working in an agile development team (working in direction to Kanban)
- Ensure that the code quality throughout the team remains at a high standard
- Your way to build your skills is secondary; what counts is your talent and your continuous self-improvement
- You have several years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer (m/f/d) and have already gained varied project experience, preferably in Start-Ups
- You worked at least for 4 years as a senior with Ruby on Rails
- You have expert knowledge with Ruby on Rails, this is an absolut must-have
- You bring a strong knowledge of tools such as GitHub
- You want to move to Germany and work as a permanent employment or you want to work as a freelancer in a Time Zone between GMT-5 and GMT+3

Recruiting Process for the Ruby on Rails Developer (f/m/d) at Lanes & Planes:
1. 30 min Video Call Interview with Senior Talent Acquisition Manager Nora - Introduction of the company, team, role and it´s your chance to ask questions
2. we would ask you to solve a test project and show us some Ruby code you really are proud of - unfortunately we won´t have the time to screen your code together with you, if it´s private, just solve the test project
3. 30 min Video Call with the Hiring Manager (Senior Ruby on Rails Developer)
4. 60 min Video Call with the Hiring Manager (Senior Ruby on Rails Developer) & 30 min Video Call with the CTO
