This role involves developing scalable, low-latency backend systems in C++ and contributing to sophisticated, real-time geolocation and guidance solutions. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain critical components of routing and navigation services used at scale.
- Tackle complex real-world guidance problems with innovative, user-friendly solutions.
- Deliver highly customizable navigation features tailored for both large OEMs and niche markets.
- Develop internal tools and infrastructure that enable others to build unique mapping experiences.
- Operate distributed systems on AWS with a focus on performance, reliability, and fault-tolerance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building scalable, high-performance backend services.
- Proficiency in modern C++ and Linux server environments, or similar systems-level experience in Go, Rust, or JVM.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts like consistency, fault tolerance, and service discovery.
- Strong analytical skills with a rigorous, data-driven approach to problem-solving and optimization.
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn across a broad stack, from infrastructure to application logic.
