    Join a mission-driven engineering team revolutionizing how we view and understand Earth. In this role, you will help develop and optimize imaging systems on the world’s largest satellite camera constellation. You'll work across hardware and software domains, shaping data quality, driving innovation in image processing, and supporting satellite imaging operations at scale.     Accountabilities:

    • Design, automate, and deploy large-scale image quality assessments and performance metrics.
    • Define and implement improvements in image quality, developing mitigations and long-term enhancements.
    • Create and optimize new imaging systems, modes, and architectures in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Develop and refine image processing pipelines for high-resolution, multispectral, and hyperspectral data.
    • Work closely with operations, product, optics, embedded systems, and software teams to ensure imaging excellence.
    • Contribute to system reliability, data integrity, and cross-disciplinary innovation.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in image processing, quality assessment, or computational photography.
    • Solid understanding of imaging algorithms, linear algebra, statistics, and physics fundamentals.
    • Strong Python programming skills within Unix/Linux environments; automation and pipeline development experience.
    • Hands-on knowledge of high-resolution imaging systems and line scanner data.
    • Bachelor's degree in physics, visual computing, computer science, or a related scientific/engineering field.
    • Effective communication, collaboration skills, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
    • Bonus points for:
      • Experience with hyperspectral imaging and cloud-scale datasets
      • Knowledge of camera hardware and source code versioning tools
      • Practical experience with imaging system design and operations
