We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Healthtech and Medical Services to lead the design and development of cutting-edge AI-driven systems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You'll play a critical role in shaping the architecture and deployment of platforms at the intersection of healthcare, AI agents, cloud systems, and medical informatics.
You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions across medical data processing, device operations, and clinical informatics using FHIR, ICD-10/11, UMLS, and other healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust software systems for healthcare and medical services.
- Architect and implement cloud-native, scalable solutions with a focus on data pipelines, device operations, and AI agent integration.
- Work closely with data scientists and AI engineers to operationalize models in real-world medical environments.
- Ensure strong alignment with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, ICD10/11, UMLS).
- Drive engineering excellence and mentor other engineers in TypeScript, Python, and modern software development practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, compliance, and clinical informatics teams to ship secure, high-impact features.
- Own technical decision-making, from infrastructure to data warehousing and backend services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including team leadership or tech lead roles.
- Proven experience in Healthtech, Medical Informatics, or Healthcare IT (FHIR, UMLS, ICD10/11, SNOMED, etc.).
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python, with strong experience in backend engineering.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and scalable system design.
- Familiarity with AI agents, data science workflows, and productionizing ML/AI models.
- Hands-on experience with medical data warehousing, interoperability, and standards-compliant architectures.
- Knowledge of device operations and integration in healthcare contexts is a strong plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, and iterative environment with high ambiguity.
Nice to Have
- Prior work on clinical decision support systems or AI in diagnostics.
- Experience with U.S. or international healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, MDR).
- Exposure to medical ontology frameworks and semantic mapping (UMLS, LOINC, SNOMED).
- Experience with AI agent frameworks or LLM-powered tools.
Benefits
- Work on real-world healthcare challenges with global impact
- Help shape the future of intelligent, interoperable medical systems
- Collaborate with world-class experts across tech, medicine, and AI
- Remote flexibility, continuous learning, and ownership from day one
