In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of quota and capacity management systems, ensuring customers can efficiently request and scale cloud resources. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, finance, and customer-facing teams to design scalable, automated solutions that balance customer needs with platform efficiency. The position offers the opportunity to influence the product roadmap, drive technical excellence, and shape processes that ensure resource allocation is secure, reliable, and aligned with business goals. Accountabilities
- Define and own the product roadmap for quota management and capacity planning systems.
- Drive the development of scalable, policy-driven quota systems supporting self-service and automation.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to reflect accurate resource availability and usage.
- Design quota request and allotment mechanics that are resilient, scalable, and aligned with customer SLAs and internal policies.
- Serve as the product expert on quota and capacity management systems, evaluating tools and frameworks for quota tracking, usage metering, and scaling team operations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and integrate new solutions to optimize quota and capacity workflows.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure that platform efficiency and business goals are balanced with customer experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or related domains.
- Proven track record delivering backend or platform products at scale, ideally involving resource management or quota systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and resource management principles.
- Ability to write clear technical requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Experience in data-driven decision-making and balancing technical depth with customer empathy.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex systems.
- Bonus: background in SRE or platform engineering, familiarity with billing/metering, regulated or multi-tenant environments, or advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
