As we increase our launch cadence and expand our launch operations across multiple sites, we are looking for an Senior Program Manager Launch Services in our Mission and Launch Operations team in Germany to drive integrated launch planning and scheduling across the organization.
In this role, you will become the central coordination point for launch planning between mission management, launch operations, development and production. Your mission is to ensure that customer commitments, launch site availability, operational capacity, hardware readiness, and development roadmaps are translated into a coherent and executable launch schedule.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
Launch Planning & Coordination
Own and maintain the integrated launch schedule across missions, campaigns, and launch sites
Coordinate launch site bookings, flight allocations, and key hardware delivery milestones
Ensure alignment of launch plans with customer commitments and operational readiness
Identify capability, resource constraints and bottlenecks before they impact mission execution
Drive resolution of schedule conflicts, critical path issues, and execution risks
Forecasting
Develop launch forecasts and capacity planning to support operational and commercial objectives
Performance & Cost Management
Track and report KPIs, mission performance metrics, and launch campaign costs
Support budget planning through cost monitoring and forecasting
Executive Reporting & Strategic Alignment
Provide consolidated schedule, capacity, risk, and performance reporting to senior leadership
Maintain a single source of truth for the launch schedule and launch capacities
Qualification Checklist
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, business administration or other relevant fields
7+ years of proven experience in program management, project management, or operations management within aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, defense, or another highly complex engineering environment
Strong understanding of technical dependencies and interrelationships across engineering, production and operations organizations
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to align teams around common objectives
Outstanding communication skills and confidence interacting with both technical experts and senior leadership
Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on execution
Professional proficiency in English
Bonus Skills
Experience in launch services, spaceflight operations, aerospace programs, mission management, or launch campaigns
Familiarity with production planning, capacity planning, and forecasting methodologies
Participation in operational campaigns
