You own the frontend architecture and technical direction of the platform, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability
You drive the evolution of our React-based frontend, including state management, server-side rendering with Node.js, and modern build and deployment tooling
You define and uphold engineering standards across code quality, testing, performance, accessibility, and security
You make sound technical decisions and ensure strong alignment with backend, platform, and product architecture
You lead, coach, and develop a team of frontend engineers, including hiring, onboarding, performance development, and career growth
You foster a high-trust, high-accountability engineering culture focused on feedback, learning, ownership, and craftsmanship
You enable collaboration, pairing, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team
You act as the primary frontend point of contact for Product, Design, and Engineering leadership
You support the transition from functionally separated teams to cross-functional, value-aligned teams where it makes sense
You own frontend delivery outcomes, ensuring predictable planning, prioritisation, quality, and execution
You work closely with Product Management and Design to translate business and user needs into executable technical roadmaps
You balance feature delivery, platform evolution, and technical debt in a sustainable way
Your profile
5+ years of experience building robust, scalable, and performant web applications using React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
Deep understanding of React, state management patterns (e.g. Redux or alternatives), and frontend architecture principles.
Experience with Server-Side Rendering (e.g. Node.js), modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack, Rollup), and CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on experience with technical integration of advertising platforms, including ad serving, tracking implementation, and tag management.
Proven ability to collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers.
First hand experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating other developers (either formally as a Team Lead or informally as a senior technologist).
Strong ownership mindset: you care about outcomes, not just output.
Excellent English skills for working in our international team; German is a plus.
