    What will you do 

    At FERNRIDE, the R&D Operations Department is building our inhouse developed teleoperation trucks for customer deployments as well as internal testing. Core challenges consist in ensuring highest operational uptimes of all our vehicles as well as continuously expanding our fleet, coordinating and fixing issues with for our system. We are primarily responsible for the safe and reliable build and support of our vehicles by maintaining the highest FERNRIDE quality standards at all times. 

    As a Prototyping and Track Working Student/Intern (f/d/m) you will have the chance to experience and engage actively in Europe's first commercial teleoperation deployments and disruption of the logistics industry in a high-potential dynamic startup environment. You will directly report to the FERNRIDE R&D Operations Manager and work very closely with the Service Ops, Customer Operations, Training, Test Engineering and Technical Program Management Departments. 

     

    Leave your footprint by:

    • having the ownership of success for our Fleet management system by supporting R&D Operations Department in daily coordination and tracking of our vehicles both internally and externally.
    • supporting Test Track Team tasks in operations process refinement, project planning, meeting preparations, and relevant documentations.
    • preparing and participating in stakeholder and team meetings.
    • supporting the R&D team with daily tasks priorities, staff management and on-demand troubleshooting.
    • promoting next level department build-up by contributing to drafting and establishing new workflows and hands-on processes to make us fit for Fernride's rapid growth journey.
    • facilitating cross-functional department cooperation especially with Customer Operations, Training and Engineering.

    What you will bring to the team?

    • High performance in studies in Business/ Mathematics, Informatics, Natural sciences/ Engineering/ Operations or a comparable program (Bachelor or Masters) 
    • First experience in a startup or similar dynamic, high-performance environment (tech company, consulting, VC/ finance) through full-time position, internships or student initiatives
    • Profound knowledge of MS Office and strong communication skills: direct, empathic, and self-reflective
    • Structured, organised, and reliable with ability to navigate through a complex startup environment with ever-shifting priorities and timelines
    • Full working proficiency in German and English  
    • Nice to have experience with project & knowledge management tools like Jira, Kanban, Miro, Confluence.
