  • About DojoStack

DojoStack is an applied AI lab building agentic systems with human oversight to reach 99%+ accuracy on core education tasks. Our mission is to enable truly personalized learning at global scale.

AI is changing everything, and education is one of its biggest frontiers. With 1.5 billion learners worldwide, this is one of the most urgent and meaningful challenges of our time.

Our team has founded and scaled data-infrastructure companies to hundreds of millions of dollars in value. Now we're applying that experience to education with the right team at the right moment.

Based in Berlin, DojoStack is a tight-knit group of top 1% engineers, designers, and researchers we’ve worked with before. We move fast, own problems end to end, and care deeply about what we build.

If you want to build real AI with urgency, autonomy, and purpose, we’d love to meet you.

    Tasks

    About the role

Think you can make learning math fun? We’re looking for a Motion Design wizard to join our scrappy team and help us build something that users can’t help but gawk at.

As our resident motion designer, you won’t just be making pretty pictures (though you’ll make very pretty pictures). You’ll be architecting our entire animated universe from the ground up. We need someone who can take our current ad-hoc approach to character creation and transform it into a well-oiled animation production machine.

    What You’ll Do

    Build Our Animation Empire

    • Create and systemize our character universe with that beloved, endearingly quirky mascot energy. Think colorful, expressive characters that make learning feel less like torture.
    • Design reusable character templates, expression libraries and animation components so we stop reinventing the wheel every time.
    • Establish our visual DNA: shape language, color systems and animation patterns. You’ll be the keeper of our aesthetic soul, lest we stray from the light.

    Bring Characters to Life

    • Be our Rive master. You’ll be living and breathing in Rive to create buttery smooth animations that integrate seamlessly into our product (bone rigging, anyone?)
    • Illustrate and animate characters that are so expressive they could communicate without words.
    • Storyboard and execute micro-interactions that make our product feel alive. Think characters that literally deflate when students get something wrong.

    Requirements

    • You Might Be Our Person If…

    Your Skills are Absolutely Bonkers

    • Your Rive, Illustrator and Figma skills are so sharp they could cut glass (you’ll need them, we don’t go easy on design reviews).
    • You have a portfolio that would make Michelangelo weep with envy.
    • You’re enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (but honestly we care more about what you can do than where you learnt it).
    • You understand the dark arts of creating animation libraries and character rigs.

    Your Vibe Matches Ours

    • You’re excited about irreverent, slightly absurd creative challenges.
    • You don’t take yourself too seriously but you take your craft very seriously.
    • Your thrive in chaotic startup environments where “figure it out” is a valid design brief.

    Practical Stuff

    • You’re based in Berlin and can hang with us in person at least 2 days a week (we’re fun IRL, pinky-promise).
    • You can commit to at least 6 months as an intern or working student.

    Benefits

    What’s In It For You

    Creative Ownership

    • Shape the visual identity of a global education platform from day one.
    • Build animation systems that will scale to millions of users.
    • Creative freedom to experiment, fail fast and push boundaries (don’t worry, we’ll reel you back in if you go full psychedelic on us).

    Sharpen Your Craft

    • Work alongside founders and builders who’ve created massive companies and know good design when they see it.
    • Get mentored in building scalable design systems, a skill that’ll make you incredibly valuable anywhere.
    • Bridge the gap between art and tech on the bleeding edge: think dynamic facial expressions that trigger based on user behavior, AI-assisted animation workflows, and pushing the limits of what’s possible in interactive design.
