Your Mission

We are looking for a Working Student (f/m/x) to join us part-time (20 hours per week) and support our team in Berlin, Germany.

This is what you will do

You support the FP&A Director and the Senior Manager FP&A with recurring and/or ad-hoc analyses. These include:

Monthly reporting: support the preparation of the group monthly reporting, with a focus on cost controlling;
Monthly company performance review: assist in preparing our monthly Company Performance Review, together with the team owners (monthly presentation summarising byrd’s operational KPIs);
Cash management: analyse and map the group’s cash transactions in our cash management software to increase transparency regarding cash utilisation;
Ad-hoc projects as applicable.

This is what you will need to succeed

A combination of technical skills, personal qualities, and a strong work ethic is required for this position:

Technical skills:

Strong analytical skills: you are able to analyse financial data, identify trends, and interpret insights;
Basic understanding of accounting: you possess a basic understanding of accounting principles (debit/credit, accruals, etc.)
Proficiency in Excel: you are extra comfortable with Excel functions, formulas, and data manipulation

Personal qualities:

Curiosity and eagerness to learn: you demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn new concepts and techniques in a dynamic environment;
Attention to detail: you have a keen eye for detail, thereby ensuring your analyses’ accuracy;
Adaptability and problem-solving skills: you are able to adapt to changes quickly

Ethical conduct: you display a strong sense of responsibility and are able to treat confidential information accordingly;
