.img – itai’s machine GmbH is the digital unit of the „Berliner Verlag“ publishing group. With our „journalistic operating system“ (.jOS) we provide a cloud-native publishing platform that serves millions of users by connecting to headless CMSs, processing and enriching content, and distributing it via web and apps. This helps regional newspapers to meet the challenges of the digital age: it facilitates reach, engagement, and monetization of journalistic content and integrates it with analytics and AI services. In addition to the publications of „Berliner Verlag“, we work with other national and regional media companies.

Tasks

You shape the ongoing development of our digital products (mobile/web) and our platform with a focus on features, integrations and user experience
You take end-to-end responsibility for the entire lifecycle of our digital services, including analysis of technical documentation and APIs
You manage the integration of partners and are involved in steering our development team
You formulate requirements for development in epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritize and detail the backlog together with the product team, and take responsibility for conceptualization, testing and release coordination (e.g., using Jira, Confluence, and GitLab)
You work in an agile environment, closely integrated with different departments; among other things, you act as an interface between business and technology stakeholders, evaluate ideas and the business impact of decisions to support successful design and implementation

Requirements

You have a degree in (business) information systems, computer science, natural sciences; or relevant practical experience
You demonstrate an independent, solution-oriented, and structured way of working and have experience in project management as well as in agile development methods
You bring strong communication skills and can easily synchronize the expectations of different stakeholders - from senior management to development team members
You are a team player, hands-on, and take a holistic perspective
You are fluent in German and English
