alcemy was founded to reduce the massive CO2 footprint of the cement and concrete industry. Concrete is humanity's second most used material by volume and is responsible for almost 8% of global CO2 emissions.

We can change this! We leverage machine learning to provide smart production control software to the concrete supply chain to improve efficiency and allow for the production of low-carbon cement and concrete. Our software is used 24/7 in cement and concrete plants to optimize production and reduce carbon emissions today .

The opportunity:

As a Customer Project Manager at alcemy, you will

• be responsible for the implementation project for cement and concrete products
• manage milestones, internal and external responsibilites & expectations and make sure we stay in the time schedule in implementation projects
• Work closely with our customer's IT department and quality team in cement or the PLC providers for concrete to get the correct data
• be the link between our internal implementation team, the customer success team and our external data providers
• have regular meetings with our customers and data providers to ensure we move forward
• check the received data for compliance with our requirements with internal tooling and basic cement and concrete knowledge and coordinate the necessary changes
• drive strategies and setups in which we can get the correct data from PLC or plants quickly and reliably, so we can scale
• be part of a fun team where you can have a massive impact on the business

Requirements

Your profile:

• You have good project management skills and show an affinity towards data
• You are characterized by a high level of social competence and excellent communication skills
• You like to collaborate closely with customers
• You can prioritize, manage and communicate to multiple projects at the same time
• You have a high willingness, curiosity and growth mindset to learn and dive deep into the challenging but exciting industry of Cement and Concrete
• You are able to evaluate datasets with given tools
• You have basic programming skills in python as a plus
• German and English conversational
• It is necessary that you are located in Germany

Within 1 month, you will...

• Complete our onboarding and meet every team member
• Learn a lot about cement, concrete and how our customers think. In addition, you will learn the intricacies of cement & concrete data and the production process of both
• Get a deep dive in the product and understand all the nitty gritty details about producing cement and concrete to a good quality
• Accompany customer conversations in implementation projects
• Learn how to evaluate our data
• Support in the first implementation project

Within 3 months, you will...

• Own your first implementation project and take over the direct contact to PLC providers and cement plants
• Check and evaluate data regularly so we can identify problems and steps until we can implement our webapp & machine learning system successfully
• Take over ongoing discussions when data problems occur
• Raise and discuss possible challenges, keeping us from hitting our implementation milestones

Within 6 months, you will...

• Focus on improving the communication and structure on how to get correct data quickly
• Identify areas of improvements of the current process and collaborate with the solutions engineering team to create optimal tooling
• Be first point of contact for any data problems with PLC providers
• Own new implementation projects until the data is correct in both cement and concrete

Hiring Process

Our hiring process is fully remote and we’ll communicate with you over email and video chat.

• Initial 1:1 screening call (30 minutes) with one of our team members
• Complete a take-home task relevant to the actual work you’d be doing
• A technical interview (60 minutes) with 2 of our engineers
• A team fit interview (45 minutes) with 2 of your future team members
• Reference check - we contact two references you provide (e.g. former work colleagues)
