alcemy was founded to reduce the massive CO2 footprint of the cement and concrete industry. Concrete is humanity's second most used material by volume and its production is responsible for around 8% of global CO2 emissions.

We are changing this! We leverage machine learning to provide smart production control software to the cement and concrete supply chain to improve efficiency and allow for the production of low-carbon cement and concrete at large scale. Our software is used 24/7 in cement and concrete plants to optimize production and reduce carbon emissions today. We are currently enabling our customers to save more than 100 000 tons of CO2 emissions each year and we aim to save 100 million tons per year in 2030.

The Opportunity

As a concrete technologist, you will play a central role at alcemy and have a wide range of tasks:

• You will drive projects along the customer journey, from managing pre-sales projects to supporting implementation
• You will design test series to prove the effectiveness and added value of our technology in our customers' concrete projects
• You support us in building convincing business cases based on the test series and findings
• You are the first concrete technology contact for your customers and our development team, to whom you provide feedback from the test series and act as a "translator" for integration into existing control systems
• You train and support our users in working with our product to increase confidence in our software and increase engagement
• You are on the road with our customers, work from home or in our office in Berlin

As a Customer Success Manager at alcemy you have the chance to introduce a new AI-powered product into an industry you know well, that is characterized by long-lasting relationships.

Your Profile

• You are characterized by a high degree of social competence and excellent communication skills
• You have a technical vocational training (e.g. building material tester, construction technician) with several years of professional experience or comparable work experience in the field of concrete
• 2 years of practical experience in the field of concrete technology, E-certificate is a plus
• Experience in quality monitoring including testing of concrete as well as good knowledge of concrete raw materials and their influence on fresh and hardened concrete properties
• Independent and self-reliant way of working and enthusiasm to break new ground
• You can quickly empathize with complex customer needs and challenges and enjoy working closely with customers
• You are able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• High willingness to travel, German, Turkish or Portuguese native / professional language and good English skills

Within 1 month, you will...

• Go through our onboarding and get to know all team members
• Learn all about our existing products for cement and concrete
• Get to know our customers and attend meetings with them

Within 3 months, you will...

• Fully manage your first implementation project with the help of your team members
• Start to take over concrete customer accounts as the main point of contact
• You will test new features before they are released to our customers
• You are a main contact person for concrete technology questions and support the product and your teammates in particular to better understand our customers
• You support us in the acquisition of new ready-mix customers

Within 6 months, you will...

• You know the entire customer journey and can look after customers independently
• You will advocate for the needs of our customers internally You provide feedback to our product team and thus support the product development of our ready-mix software
• You are the ambassador of the alcemy product mission and vision for our customers
• You can support our customers in realizing added value. To do this, you develop test series and agree on the most important metrics to evaluate success

Hiring Process

Our hiring process is fully remote and we’ll communicate with you over email and video chat.

• Initial 1:1 screening call (30 minutes) with one of our team members
• Complete a take-home task relevant to the actual work you’d be doing
• A technical interview (60 minutes) with 2 of our engineers
• A team fit interview (45 minutes) with 2 of your future team members
• Reference check - we contact two references you provide (e.g. former work colleagues)

Deine Aufgaben

Du wirst als erster Betontechnologe eine zentrale Rolle bei alcemy spielen und ein breites Aufgabenspektrum vorfinden:

• Du treibst Projekte entlang der Customer Journey voran, vom Management von Pre-Sales-Projekten bis zur Begleitung der Implementierung
• Du konzipierst Versuchsreihen, um die Wirksamkeit und Mehrwerte unserer Technologie bei Betonagen unserer Kunden nachzuweisen
• Du unterstützt uns beim Aufbau von überzeugenden Business Cases auf Basis der Versuchsreihen und Erkenntnissen
• Du bist erste:r Beton technologischer Ansprechpartner:in für unsere Kunden und unser Entwicklungsteam, dem du Feedback aus den Versuchsreihen gibst und als “Übersetzer” bei der Integration in vorhandene Steuerungssysteme zur Seite stehst
• Du schulst und unterstützt unsere Nutzer bei der Arbeit mit unserem Produkt, um das Vertrauen in unsere Software zu stärken und das Engagement zu erhöhen
• Du bist unterwegs bei unseren Kunden, arbeitest im Homeoffice oder in unserem Büro in Berlin

Requirements

Dein Profil

• Du zeichnest dich durch ein hohes Maß an sozialer Kompetenz und ausgezeichneten Kommunikationsfähigkeiten aus
• Du hast eine technische Berufsausbildung (z.B. Baustoffprüfer, Bautechniker) mit mehrjähriger Berufserfahrung oder vergleichbare Arbeitserfahrung im Bereich Beton

• 2 Jahre Praxiserfahrung im Bereich Betontechnologie, E-Schein ist ein Plus

• Erfahrungen in der Qualitätsüberwachung einschließlich Prüfung von Beton sowie gute Kenntnisse über die Betonausgangsstoffe und deren Einfluss auf die Frisch- und Festbetoneigenschaften
• Selbstständige und eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise und Begeisterung neue Wege zu gehen
• Du kannst dich schnell in komplexe Kundenbedürfnisse und Herausforderungen einfühlen und arbeitest gerne eng mit Kunden zusammen
• Du bist in der Lage Prioritäten zu setzen und mehrere Projekte gleichzeitig zu verwalten
• Hohe Reisebereitschaft, Deutsch oder Türkisch muttersprachlich / als Berufssprache sowie gute Englischkenntnisse

Nach 1 Monat wirst Du:

• Unser Onboarding durchlaufen und alle Teammitglieder kennenlernen
• Alles über unsere existierenden Produkte für Zement und Beton lernen
• Unsere Kunden kennenlernen und an Meetings mit ihnen teilnehmen

Nach 3 Monaten wirst Du:

• Dein erstes Implementierungsprojekt vollumfänglich mit der Hilfe deiner Teammitglieder betreuen
• Beginnen unsere Betonkunden Accounts als Hauptansprechpartner zu übernehmen
• Du testest neue Features, bevor sie an unsere Kunden weitergegeben werden
• Du bist unser Hauptansprechpartner für Betontechnologische Fragen und unterstützt insbesondere das Produkt- und deine Teamkolleg:innen, unsere Kunden besser zu verstehen
• Du unterstützt uns in der Akquise neuer TB-Kunden

Nach 6 Monaten wirst Du:

• Du kennst die gesamte Customer Journey und kannst Kunden selbstständig betreuen
• Du setzt dich intern für die Bedürfnisse unsere Kunden ein. Du trägst das Feedback an unser Produktteam und unterstützt dadurch die Produktentwicklung unserer TB-Software
• Du bist der Botschafter der alcemy Produkt-Mission und Vision für unsere Kunden
• Du kannst unsere Kunden dabei unterstützen, Mehrwerte zu realisieren. Dafür entwickelst du Versuchsreihen und verständigst dich auf die wichtigsten Metriken zur Bewertung des Erfolgs
