For a project we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer (FPGA - VHDL) (f/m/d).

Aufgaben

Implement automated test suites for FPGA designs using VHDL, covering both functional and performance testing
Integrate the automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline, leveraging tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
Develop test harnesses and frameworks to enable efficient and scalable FPGA testing using VHDL and VUnit
Collaborate with FPGA designers and developers to understand requirements and implement test automation solutions
Design, build, and configure complex test racks with FPGA hardware and supporting equipment
Implement the use of simulation tools like Modelsim and Questasim for FPGA verification with VHDL
Work with FPGA vendor tools such as Altera Quartus, Xilinx Vivado, and Lattice Diamond to ensure seamless integration
Analyze test results, identify and troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements
Document test strategies, procedures, and results to ensure traceability and maintainability

Qualifikation

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Extensive experience in implementing test automation, particularly in the FPGA or hardware design domain using VHDL
Demonstrated ability to design, build, and configure complex test racks for FPGA and System hardware
Strong expertise in FPGA design and verification methodologies
Familiarity with some of the tools listed in the above responsabilities
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, bash, (yaml, C optional) and VHDL
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
Strong communication and documentation skills
Language skills: German fluent; English fluent // One of both at least

Order Type: Arbeitnehmer berlassung/temporary employment

Duration: 12 months (with option of contract extension)
