We are looking for a motivated and proactive Senior Applications Engineer to support the growing team in Konstanz, Germany.
8tree is the global leader in AR-enabled 3D precision surface inspection tools. Our customers include the world’s leading aerospace, aviation and wind-turbine blade companies.
This role is designed for experienced professionals with a strong technical foundation, and a readiness to drive and influence customer success.
Tasks
- Ensure successful system deployment and integration into customer workflows. This includes long-term planning, executing, and monitoring of a customer’s onboarding process.
- Cultivate strong relationships with technical counterparts at customer site
- Provide technical support to our international customers. This requires in-depth hardware & software debugging skills
- Own and lead product evolution for the wind energy sector, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders
- Assist business development team in regional demonstrations and trade shows
- Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives across various functions, such as pre-sales/post-sales, product development, training procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g. aerospace, mechanical, or industrial engineering)
- 3+ years in customer-facing technical role, preferably in 3D metrology, NDT, inspection systems, or in related industrial sectors such as aerospace, wind energy, or automotive
- Fluent German and English language skills; Skilled at simplifying complex technical concepts for a diverse audience
- Top-notch engineering leadership skills; self-driven initiative to anticipate and solve problems
- Adaptability to change priorities and workloads, while managing stakeholders’ expectations
- Ability to perform physical tasks in hangar environment, including working at heights, or navigating around various physical environments
- 50%+ travel (scheduled in advance, often international)
