We are seeking candidates for positions in IoT/System and IoT/Backend development.
In IoT/System, engineers will focus on Python software development for IoT devices with limited computing capabilities. They will also work on operating system-related topics like disk encryption, secure boot, over-the-air upgrades, and peripheral management (e.g., watchdog and modem), despite being closer to the embedded world than traditional embedded programming.
In IoT/Backend, engineers will also primarily develop Python software for IoT devices, but these devices have larger computing capabilities similar to low-end desktop computers. Instead of operating system topics, they will work with various peripherals such as POS terminals, printers, and QR-code scanners via specific APIs and protocols.
WHAT TO EXPECTAn IoT Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software for IoT devices and the backend systems required to process events from IoT devices. This includes creating and implementing software for connected devices as well as designing and implementing communication protocols for these devices to connect to the backend.
