    Vestiaire Collective is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Conversion squad in the Buyer experience in Paris. You will be a part of one of the most impactful squad at Vestiaire Collective: our payment systems.

    About the role
    At Vestiaire Collective, we're revolutionizing the way buyers and sellers interact on our platform. As a Software Engineer in the Conversion Squad within the Buyer Experience team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform’s transactional experience. From designing a new, seamless payment system to optimizing the checkout process, you'll have the opportunity to directly impact the core of our platform’s success. You’ll be at the forefront of enhancing the buyer's journey, making every transaction smoother, faster, and more secure.

    What you will do
    Participate in the design and development of backend systems for a unified payment solution, improving the buyer’s checkout journey.
    Ensure scalability and performance by improving existing backend systems for payment processing, invoicing, refunds, and post-purchase actions.
    Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to support backend infrastructure and long-term platform stability.
    Contribute to improving the payment funnel, focusing on enhancing conversion rates and transaction efficiency.
    Take ownership of key backend components that directly influence the success of the buyer experience, ensuring smooth and secure transactions.
    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like Fraud, Ops, and Seller Experience to integrate new features and optimize workflows.

    Who you are
    At least 5 years of experience as a backend software engineer, working on PHP (Go is a +)
    English Proficiency (French is a plus) - please send your application in English only
    Autonomous, you take full ownership of the architecture and technical design of the code you deliver
    Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and associated methodologies (SOLID, Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, etc.)
    Professional experience in building scalable, maintainable and robust backends, preferably using PHP 
    Product-driven: focused on the experience of the end-user when designing and implementing features
    Data-oriented: the candidates understand the importance of monitoring technical and business KPIsStrong familiarity with the Agile methodologies (SCRUM/Kanban) and their ceremonials.
