Remote: South East Asia Diving Liveaboard Specialist (English+French or German)

Next to our brands Galapatours.com and Polartours.com, both focussing on small-ship expedition crusies to awe-inspiring destinations, we plan to widen our portfolio by adding a third booking platform in Q2 2024: DiveIndonesia.com.

Our mission at DiveIndonesia will be to become the global reference for sustainable small-ship expedition cruises to South East Asia. As this new brand is not launched yet, we are now recruiting the first team member that will help Benno, the founder of Galapatours and Polartours, to build up the brand. You can therefore expect an exciting, multi-facetted job that will change rapidly over time, as we pivot from setting up our portfolio to making the first sales. You can expect to be selling a dream product: exclusive, sustainable cruises aboard small, mostly luxurious yachts around South East Asia. To do so, you will report directly to Benno, our director of booking platforms, and will work in a growing international team surrounded by exceptional, caring, and passionate individuals.

During the first six months of this job, you will spend your time mostly with:

• Reaching out to providers to learn more about the ships and trips they offer (mostly via phone or mail, then set up meetings to learn more)
• Adding ships and trips to our portfolio (data entry)
• Coordinating the creation of content pages around our destinations, highlights, FAQ articles, with our Content Writer's team (give your South East Asia expertise)
• Working together with our marketing team to define the best angle for our potential customers (help them write ads, give feedback etc.)
• Making the first sales
• Constantly adding more helpful content to our web page yourself

After that, on a daily basis, you will:

• Advise potential clients and help them plan their trip by answering questions and making them aware of their different trip options via email, phone and video chat.
• Communicate with our providers to confirm prices, block spaces and negotiate deals for our customers.
• Work together with and consult our marketing team on how to best market your trips.
• Think about ways we can improve our client's experience, both before and after a sale was made.

The basics you bring along

• A passionate sales person with at least 3+ years of experience and clear sales results.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts aligned to US time zones, preferably Pacific Time zone
• You know how to prioritize and say "no"
• Native or near-native English
• French or German as a second language
• An ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A passion for fair and sustainable business and tourism.
• Team player with exceptional internal and external communication skills.
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

• Speak a third language

• You have visited Raja Ampat, Komodo etc.
• Ideal: You have already worked in South East Asia Small Ship Cruises before.

You are completely free to work from anywhere in the world, but we must insist that you work within US time zones, ideally Pacific Time. The reason: 90% of our clients are from the Americas. You are always welcome to work from one of our many physical offices around the world, such as Medellín (Colombia), Quito (Ecuador), Cuzco (Peru), Cape Town (South Africa), or our headquarters in Kreuzberg, the hip center of Berlin. Of course, visits to Indonesia are necessary and welcome (see "What we promise you").
