The Role
To drive this vision, we’re seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript) who has a passion for clean architecture, high-performance systems, and the excitement of shaping products from the ground up. We’re a fast-growing team headquartered in Berlin, offering a remote-friendly environment with deep roots in finance, tax, and developer tooling.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will:
- Shape the platform’s architecture and influence key product decisions.
- Build the backbone of a tax infrastructure used by financial institutions across Europe.
- Develop a platform that enables fintechs to offer and create their own tax tools through smart integration with our system.
Tasks
Your Responsibilities
- Design and Implement: Create scalable, high-performance architecture for distributed and high-load backend systems.
- Architectural Decisions: Make key architectural decisions and drive the technical strategy to ensure robustness, reliability, and maintainability under load.
- Ownership: Take ownership of designing and implementing core backend systems from scratch, shaping the foundation of our emerging platform.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the team to bring the product roadmap to life, turning vision into scalable and maintainable architecture.
- Feature Delivery: Ship new features at high velocity without compromising code quality, reliability, or performance.
- Culture Building: Play a key role in fostering a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture as we scale the team.
Requirements
Your Profile
- Frontend Experience: At least 3 years of experience with Frontend Development (e.g., using Next.js and React).
- Backend Experience: At least 5 years of experience with Backend Development (e.g., using TypeScript and Nest.js/Node.js).
- Current Trends: Up-to-date with current web development trends.
- Web Application Development: Developed at least one web application (including backend) from scratch.
- Team Player: Willing to help teammates and learn from them.
- Open-Minded: Openness to new concepts and constructive criticism.
