    Position

    We seek a versatile and experienced Head of Data Science, that drives and expands our existing soil nutrient machine learning as well as new data driven features, that support our customers in making better agronomic decisions for their fields using real-time soil data. You will report directly to the CTO.

    Tasks

    • Lead the Data-Science Team
    • Be responsible for a core pillar of stenons products
    • Scale our soil nutrient modelling to support more and more regions across the world
    • Oversee planning, execution and delivery of Data Science projects.
    • Be part of the stenon leadership team and collaborate across functions with Product, Commercial and Engineering
    • Own the Data Science strategy, vision and roadmap, enhancing stenons agronomy intelligence layer with additional features and data sources

    Requirements

    • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science products
    • Experience in managing and mentoring people
    • Advanced Degree in Engineering or Science
    • Proven track record of managing complex projects from start to finish
    • Exceptional understanding of statistical concepts
    • Experience in geo-spatial and/or sensor data processing is considered a plus
    • Experience writing and maintaining python code and the full ML life cycle, incl. common libraries like scikit, pytorch as well as ML-Ops infrastructure like MLflow, DVC
    • A strong sense for data and code quality and the ability to push for high standards
    • Experience working directly with internal stakeholders (Product, Commercial, Engineering)
    • Very good communication and English language skills - verbal and written
