Located in Zurich and Munich, the company has a European outreach. To support the company’s continued growth, we are looking for a Finance & Compliance Officer to join our Munich team.

    This is a permanent, 80-100% role in Germany working either remotely or based in our office in Munich. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director as well as the group’s COO.

    Tasks

    Finance:

    • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and basic accounting functions for both the Swiss and German entity (supported by external accountants)
    • Support salary accounting and coordination with payroll providers across jurisdictions
    • Assist with financial reporting and contribute to the preparation of management accounts
    • Support the group’s liquidity and budgeting process

    Compliance:

    • Lead on regulatory compliance including managing audits, submissions and ongoing regulatory reporting
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors
    • Perform KYC/AML processes for investors and counterparties, maintaining up-to-date documentation and records
    • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner

    Requirements

    Candidates must have:

    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in finance and compliance within financial services
    • Demonstrated, hands-on experience working with BaFin (Germany) or FINMA (Switzerland) – understanding regulatory frameworks, requirements and audit processes
    • Experience leading regulatory audits and managing ongoing compliance obligations
    • Solid grounding in KYC/AML processes and their practical application in an investment or fund management context
    • Working knowledge of core finance functions: bookkeeping, basic accounting, and salary/payroll coordination
    • Comfortable working in a small, international, entrepreneurial team and taking ownership of a broad range of tasks
    • Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
    • German work permit or EU citizenship

    Candidates may also have:

    • Experience with transfer pricing, or cross-border tax compliance
    • Familiarity with AIFMD, MiFID II or other relevant EU fund regulations
    • Experience working in an investment advisory, asset management or fund environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
