At paretos, you will be part of the engineering team and support our DevOps and Security efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and securing a cutting-edge AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and have a keen interest in DevOps and cybersecurity.

Tasks

Infrastructure support:

• Assist in the maintenance and management of our AWS-based Kubernetes clusters.
• Support the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of various services such as Keycloak, Dagster, Temporal, Snowflake, Airbyte, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and NGINX Ingress Controller.
• Participate in automating routine infrastructure tasks using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Security Assistance:

• Help implement security measures and controls to protect data and infrastructure.
• Assist in conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Support the preparation of documentation and processes required for ISO27001 certification.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Assist in the implementation and management of monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
• Participate in incident response activities, helping to resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages.
• Help maintain and update incident response plans.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Interest in cybersecurity and compliance standards such as ISO27001.
• Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is desirable
