Paratus is an energetic / growing commercial telecoms provider in southern Africa with partly German roots. We offer connectivity, cloud and datacenter services in various countries.
For a new product launch we are looking for frontend and backend developers. It will be an online service for managing consumer internet connections that will be used in various African countries. It will be designed from scratch.
Our stack is Linux, Ruby, Rails-Backend/REST, Postgresql/Gis/Timescale, Bootstrap. Frontend still undecided, possibly (SvelteKit, Nuxt, Next or Astro).
You should have:
- Proven, several years of experience in the implementation of online services
- Experience with the above-mentioned stack at an advanced level
- Fun/enthusiasm for IT, telecommunication and technology
- Enjoy travelling and working with people
- Good English and good communication via MS Teams (German not necessary)
- Full capacity for the project and open to longer-term assignments (min 6 month)
- Live close to our Time zone (GMT+1)
Your interest should not only be working remotely but also actively participating in on-site collaboration. This involves occasional travel to diverse African countries, where you will engage with our colleagues, contribute to special projects, and, if you wish, combine these trips with leisure time. 😊
