Yearly Salary: €90,000 - €100,000 (fixed range, annual gross)
Equity: €40,000 to €80,000 in company shares

As Staff Product Manager, Data Platform (f/m/d), you translate (internal) customer & business needs into product vision and strategy. You own accountability for the product success of our Data Platform, empowering internal customers to generate value from data swiftly and with confidence. You play a pivotal role in defining the future of internal platforms in Orbem, working with leading experts to think beyond what is possible today.

You lead product definition and delivery of our Data Platform’s next generation to enable rapid development, analytics, and innovation by making high-quality data accessible and actionable for all teams.
You work closely with:
Product teams in Orbem
Business Intelligence & Analytics teams
Domain Data Owners
Data Platform Engineering, Machine Learning Platform, and other Orbem Platform Teams
Technical Program Management, Security, Compliance, and IT teams
You exhibit high customer empathy, business sense, crisp communication, an impact-driven mindset, and leadership via influence.
Analyze product KPIs, user feedback, and business impact to monitor product performance and inform future priorities.
Communicate, collaborate & align with internal customers and stakeholders to
identify product opportunities
clarify priorities
align on the product roadmap and ensure a shared vision.
Align with the Data Platform Engineering team to ensure shared understanding of the “what” and the “why” of your work as a product team.

Take ownership of the Data Platform team’s outcomes, ensuring successful delivery of Data Platform improvements that drive company strategy and empower our Data Platform users.
Align with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, engineering, analytics, and compliance to secure buy-in and drive execution of data platform priorities.
Closely align the priorities of the Data Platform engineering team with the priorities of the company.
Facilitate speedy, well-thought-through tactical decision-making by communicating needs clearly, digesting feedback, and synthesizing information.
Experience with Product Management of Data Platforms (or a very similar type of internal platform) with proven ability to define and align on a long-term product vision for an internal platform.
A sufficient level of understanding of the data domain and technology to enable:
effective communication with engineering team members
good product decisions and
translating between technical and non technical stakeholders.
Strong understanding of key concepts in the Data Engineering (e.g., Data Mesh), Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing domains.
Deep understanding of data protection and regulatory compliance in the context of data tooling and governance, especially in a medical context.
Hands on experience in data engineering or related fields.
Experience building data platforms for quickly scaled up companies, especially those with both hardware & software, including both industrial machines & medical devices.
