We are building a Machine Learning based Health Analytics platform that combines connected novel biomarkers, smart algorithms and a web/mobile application for physicians and patients. Tasks

Machine Learning Strategy: Develop and refine the machine learning strategy aligned with our company's vision and objectives. Identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes and drive business growth.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing machine learning team comprising data scientists, engineers, and researchers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Algorithm Development: Oversee the end-to-end development of machine learning algorithms, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment. Ensure the scalability, robustness, and accuracy of the algorithms in real-world healthcare settings, especially with regards to voice and speech analysis.
Data Governance: Establish best practices for data collection, annotation, and storage to ensure data quality, privacy, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to access and integrate diverse data sources for model training and validation.
Clinical Validation: Work closely with clinical experts and regulatory stakeholders to validate the efficacy and safety of machine learning algorithms in clinical trials and real-world healthcare environments.Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, healthcare informatics, and cardiology research. Identify opportunities for innovation and intellectual property development to maintain our competitive edge.

Requirements

Educational Background: A PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, candidates with a master's degree and extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
Work Experience: Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in leading machine learning teams in industry or academia. Proven track record of successfully developing and deploying machine learning models in healthcare or related domains.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and guide a team of machine learning professionals. Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and managing multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python and the machine learning tech stack (such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.). In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis techniques.
Research and Publication: Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences related to machine learning, healthcare informatics, or related fields. Experience in conducting independent research and contributing to the advancement of the field.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in English and German is preferred.
Motivation and Ambition: Highly motivated and ambitious individual with a passion for leveraging machine learning to address real-world healthcare challenges. Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on the latest advancements in the field.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex challenges and drive innovative solutions.
Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, clinical operations, and regulatory affairs to deliver impactful machine learning solutions.
